ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Cal State LA defeated the Sonoma State 58-49 Friday night in the Wolves' Den. Sonoma falls 11-12 overall and 7-10 in the CCAA, while the Golden Eagles are lifted 14-12 overall and 11-7 in conference.
Carly Gill had the game high 16 points and
Madison Burroughs scored 10 points to score the second most for the Seawolves.

Molly Donovan (5) combined for 16 of Sonoma's 27 rebounds.
Lead by Gill with five, the Seawolves nabbed 13 steals, the most of any game in four years. The team continued to capitalize on opponent's turnovers, scoring 22 points off them.
In the first quarter, the Seawolves gained a five-point lead in 26 seconds via two free-throws from Gill, and one from Donovan after being fouled on a made free throw with.
The Eagles were ahead by five twice in the second quarter, and twice the Seawolves closed the gap within a bucket. The first time, the Seawolves responded with a Donovan jumper, a steal by Gill, and a jumper by Mitz. The next time, it was a Gill trey to close the second half with Sonoma down by two.
In the second half, Cal State LA gained an eleven-point lead in the third quarter. However, Sonoma held their opponent to only nine points in the fourth quarter. A lay-up by Burroughs with 32 seconds left in the game narrowed the Golden Eagles' lead to five. Alas, LA would score four points from the charity stripe to win the game.
Saturday night, February 18 at 5:30pm Sonoma will take on the Toros of Cal State Dominguez Hills in the Wolves' Den.
