SANTA ROSA, Calif. – Sonoma State is off to its best start of 3-0 since the 2013 season, after Sundays 2-0 win against Fresno Pacific. The Sunbirds fall 2-5 on the season.
The Seawolves shutout the Sunbirds, the second this season. Pitcher,
Aldo Severson picked up his second win of the season and improves to 2-0.
Cody Bennett picked up a save in the ninth. The Sunbirds were only able to garner 3 hits against Sonoma's pitching staff.
So far this season, Sonoma has allowed only 1 earned run in 27 innings pitched, equaling a 0.33 ERA.
Bryce Nagata and
Grant St. Martin were each 2 for 3 at the plate and both were behind the scoring RBI's in the sixth inning for the Seawolves. Nagata batted in Caresio and St. Martin extended the courtesy to Nagata.
