Rohnert Park – In the breast cancer awareness match "dig for a cure", Sonoma State fell 3-1 (23-25, 25-19, 27-25, 25-11) to the Toros of California State Dominguez Hills. Seawolves now sit 8-13 overall and 4-8 in conference.
SET BY SET: Seawolves claimed set one 25-23 after gaining an early 11-7 lead over the Toros. Sonoma State had 14 kills and a .265 hitting percentage, as they held the lead up until Dominguez Hills took a brief 21-20 lead, short-lived as the Seawolves scored five of the final seven points.
Set two was a back and forth battle with nine ties and ten lead changes, Sonoma had 12 kills and a .188 hitting percentage, outdone by the Toros 25-19.
Seawolves regained momentum, set three as they took an early 5-1 lead. Sonoma held a constant, then the Toros strung six points together to shift the set in their favor for a 27-25 win over Sonoma State.
The fourth set saw the Toros take a 10-3 lead over the Seawolves, scoring 14 of the sets final 20-points.
