Sonoma State Holds No. 14 to Three

La Jolla, Calif. – Seawolves held the UC San Diego No. 14 in Division II to three points (80-77) in the final game of 2018. 
 
Highlighted by Isaacs Davidsons career-high 13-for-17 from the field and 32 points, which matched his season-opening appearance against Dominican. 
 
Lewayne Grant had a season high end to the year, shooting 9-for-10 at the charity line, snagged four steals and seven rebounds. 
 
Halfway through the first half, the Seawolves came within one point of the Tritons (17-16). After coming back from a 12-point deficit in the first half, Sonoma State came within seven points (39-32) at the half. 
 
Seawolves took advantage of 20 points off the bench compared to UCSD's 7 points to put on an 80-77 battle against the Triton's. The closest conference final for the No. 14 ranked Tritons.
 
Sonoma State starts off the new year January 3rd at San Marcos at 7:30 p.m.
