ROHNERT PARK, Calif -- On Sunday morning the Seawolves welcomed Division I University of Nevada to the SSU Tennis Court. In what was a very competitive match, the Seawolves ended up losing 6-3. With the loss the Seawolves move to 10-4 while the Wolf Pack improve to 5-5.
The Seawolves found themselves down early when they dropped all three of the doubles matches.
Jensyn Warren and
Amanda Zuidema were close to pulling the upset in doubles 1 over Claudia Herrero and Blaga Delic but lost in the last set (8-7).
In singles play, the Seawolves were still competitive. In the singles 1 match
Jensyn Warren defeated Claudia Herrero (6-4, 5-7, 10-8).
Amanda Zuidema was also victorious in her singles 2 match against Anastaysha Gorbacheva (6-2, 3-6, 10-7). In the singles 3 match,
Carolyn Brooner claimed a win over Blaga Delic (7-5, 6-3).
The Seawolves are on the road for their next three matches. They take on the Warriors of Stanislaus State in Turlock, CA on Sunday, March 18. First served will be served at 12pm.
