Arcata, Calif. –Sonoma State held Humboldt State to 45 total points in Friday evenings 3-0 sweep which helped the Seawolves improve to 3-2 in the CCAA. The Seawolves won 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-10) on the road.
The Seawolves started off all three sets with at least a three-point lead, holding a constant lead the whole match.
The match started with an 8-0 lead in set one, featuring three service aces by
Megan Bohorquez to get the ball rolling. The Seawolves gained a 10-point lead to take set one, courtesy 6 kills; by

Tate Battistini (1),
Morgan Annala (2),
Adriana Baysinger (1), one ace by
Ashleigh Phelps and three errors by the Jacks.
Jenna Miller was credited two service aces to help the Seawolves to a 5-0 lead in set two. Baysinger notched three kills to add to Sonoma's 13-4 lead over the Jacks and help the Seawolves to a five-point win (25-20) in set two.
Sonoma State took a 15-4 lead in the final set and recorded nine of the last 11 points of the day. The Seawolves final five-points came from 4 kills, Battistini (1), Baysinger (2), Annala (1) and a Jack error.
Sonoma State continues CCAA play 7:00 p.m. Tuesday against the Otters of Monterey Bay.
