Rohnert Park – Seawolves bounce back from last night's loss to Stanislaus State, to beat Chico State 3-1 (26-24, 15-25, 25-23, 25-18), and improve 4-4 in CCAA play and 8-9 overall.
SET BY SET: The evening began with an ever-changing score, with the lead fair game. The Seawolves held a convincing 20-17 lead over the Wildcats until Chico strung 7 back-to-back points in order to gain its first lead over Sonoma 24-20. The Seawolves answered back with the final six points of set one.
Set two saw the Seawolves down ten-points to the Wildcats 25-15.
Sonoma claimed the first four-points in set three to set the tone, eventually improving its 11-5 lead to 24-21 to take the third set 25-23.
The Seawolves scored the first point in all four sets this evening, gaining an early 5-3 in the nights final set. After falling behind 8-7 to the Wildcats, the Seawolves scored five consecutive points to gain a 12-8 lead. Holding a lead the rest of the set, Sonoma State scored the match's final three points to capture its fourth conference victory.
