Rohnert Park, Calif. –Sonoma State returned to the Wolves' Den after spending the last three games on the road. The Seawolves are now 6-9 overall and 4-6 in the CCAA after falling to San Francisco State 76-65.
Lewayne Grant forced two turnovers during the opening five minutes.
Isaac Davidson notched 11-points in the opening 20 minutes, recording a good jumper with 12:57 remaining in the half to give the Seawolves the upper hand 16-15. Back-to-back free throws made by each team evened the score 23-23. Down 38-32, Sonoma States
Nick Klarman claimed two free throws to make it 38-34. With the clock running down
Armani Nicolis made a layup at the buzzer to make the score 38-36 at halftime.
The Seawolves gained a three-point (46-43) lead over the Gators four minutes into the final half. San Francisco State gained a 12-point (69-57) lead over Sonoma State with less than five minutes remaining. A three-pointer by Davidson put the Seawolves with eight-points of the Gators with 1:23 left on the clock. Three good free throws by the Gators ended the game in favor of San Francisco State 67-65.
