Rohnert Park -- Seawolves improve 6-8 overall and 4-7 in the CCAA after beating Stanislaus State 58-47.
A season-high performance by freshman
Jessica Solis, led the Seawolves winning efforts with 13-points. Solis made four three-point shots, four from the field and one from the line.
Ugochi Anudokem matched her season-high 20 rebound performance put on at Dominguez Hills in December. Anudokem contributed 10-points, going 4-for-8 from the field and 2-for-3 from the free-throw line.
Sophie Northern attributed four rebounds, three assists, and 12-points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:The Seawolves started from behind in the first quarter, closing the gap 11-10 with a layup from
Aaryn Pickett at the end of the first.
Sonoma State took charge in the second, flipping the switch to take a 10-point lead going into intermission,
Zane Sheckherd downing a three-pointer giving the Seawolves insurance.
The Warriors wasted no time in the second half, cutting the Seawolves lead in half 31-25 two minutes in. Holding tight to its lead, Northern in the paint gave Sonoma a six-point lead entering the final quarter.
Halfway through the second half Stanislaus State tied the game 43-43 with a free throw by Caprina Pipion. The Seawolves answered back with five baskets', gaining an 11-point lead with 30-seconds remaining Sonoma State added one to the win column.
