Season High Performance Put on by Solis Against the Toros

Rohnert Park, Calif -- Sonoma State dropped Thursday evenings CCAA matchup against Cal State Dominguez Hills 61-50. 
 
The Seawolves are now 7-10 overall and 5-9 in the CCAA after a 61-50 loss to Cal State Dominguez Hills.
 
Sonoma States offense was led by freshman Jessica Solis' season-high 14-point performance. Solis shot 6-for-12 from the field and 2-for-5 from the arc. 
 
Ugochi Anudokem registered nine points for the Seawolves, with a 3-for-4 performance from the field and 3-for-7 at the line. Anudokem collected 14 rebounds (2 offensive and 12 defensives).
 
The Seawolves outscored the Toros in the first quarter, shooting 34.8 percent from the field, 28.6 percent from the arc and 50 percent from the line. Sonoma State held Cal State Dominguez Hills to 33.3 percent from the field, 22.2 percent from the arc and 25 percent from the charity stripe.
 
Besides tying the game early in the first quarter, the Seawolves trailed most of the game. A strong defense and four points in the final minute of the half made by Kylie Kiech and Ra'Shanae Johnson kept the Seawolves within four points of the Toros at halftime (26-22). 
 
The Toros came back from the half to extend its lead by ten (37-27), Solis and Sophie Northern added six-points to the board towards the end of the third for a 40-33 score entering the final 10.
 
The Seawolves capitalized on four-bench points and six points in the paint to help its fourth-quarter battle, shooting 17 to the Toros 21 in the fourth quarter the Seawolves effort fell short 61-50.
 
What's Next: Sonoma State continues its home stint as they host Cal State Los Angeles this Saturday in The Wolves' Den at 1:00 p.m. for the annual Pack the Den CCAA doubleheader.
