0-1 Loss in Overtime

On Sunday , November 17th, The Seawolves took on the UC San Diego Tritons in the  Championship Game of the CCAA Tournament. 

The Seawolves came out with a lot of control throughout regulation. It was a constant back and fourth battle between the Tritons and the Seawolves that would eventually be decided in extra time. 

Regulation ended 0-0 and the game went into two overtime periods. There was 8 minutes left in the second period of overtime when San Diego scored the Golden Goal to win the game 1-0. 

Following the match, the post game interview included captains Julia Pritchard, Riley West, and Coach Emiria Salzmann Dunn. The players and coach expressed their disappointment for the loss as they felt they had control of the game and executed their game plan. They also emphasized their passion for excellence as something that has driven them throughout the season and they remain confident as they head into the NCAA tournament. The Seawolves are still in great position to receive a top regional seed for the NCAA tournament and will find out their ranking Monday. 

The Seawolves finished this season's schedule of play with a record of 15-3-1 and will find out their NCAA regional seed during the selection show tomorrow.
