Rohnert Park, Ca- After playing St Mary's on Monday night, SSU struggled to get on track Tuesday afternoon Suffering their worst shooting performance on the season the Seawolves came up on the short end of a 75-55 game with Seattle Pacific.
Seattle Pacific was red hot from the start and built a double digit lead mid way through the first half. SSU trying to gain momentum on tired legs, went on a 5-0 run near the start of the second half but Seattle Pacific regained their shooting form and began to pull away.
Shaw Anderson led the Falcons with 20 points hitting from the outside and the inside. SSU got 13 points from
Kenny Olsen and 12 from
Michael Smith. Leading scorer
Isaac Davidson had an off night managing only 11 points, 9 points below his average.
"It was tough scheduling with St. Mary's the night before a 3:00 o'clock start. We were tired and it showed," said Head Coach
Pat Fuscaldo. "I knew I couldn't get on the team early on, they were just out of gas."
The Seawolves get back in action Saturday with CCAA action at the Wolve's Den vs Cal State Monterey Bay.
Sonoma State is 1-0 in conference play having knocked off Humboldt State on the road 86-73 just last Thursday in Arcata.
