Los Angeles, Ca- On Saturday, December 21st, the womens basketball team of Sonoma state ended their two game losing streak after winning 4 straight beating Cal State LA 73-66. The Seawolves improve to 8-4 overall and 4-3 in CCAA play and remain in the mix with a lot of the season to play.
Kylie Kiech lead the Seawolves in scoring with 21 points and 5 boards.
Ugochi Anudokem also recorded a double double for the Seawolves with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
The Seawolves came out firing shooting 46% from the field in the first quarter and was perfect from 3-point range. Despite a rough patch in the second and third quarter, Sonoma secured the win late shooting 50% in the fourth. With 16 lead changes, the game was back and forth but the Seawolves secured a crucial victory to prevent the 3 game skid and get back above .500 in conference action.
The Seawolves will return to the Wolves Den January 2, at 5:30 against the Broncos of Cal Poly Pomona to continue their success in the CCAA.
