Rohnert Park, Calif. –The Seawolves got on the court for the first time this season to face PacWest opponent No. 6 Academy of Art in a 5-2 final.
This season, Division II has adopted the Division I ruling, usually in a Division II match, each matchup gets a point for the final score, however in the new adopted Division I ruling whoever wins two of the three doubles matches receives one point, with the remaining six points being decided in singles play.
Doubles: The No. 3 tandem of Carolina Alfonsin and Hannah Highsmith were the only doubles team to take down the Urban Knights (6-2).
Singles: Jensyn Warren put up a convincing performance at No. 1, falling 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 to Stanikova. Jenna DeTurk and Alfonsin recorded the Seawolves two wins in singles. DeTurk in the No. 4 slot defeated Ragona 7-6(3), 6-4 and Alfonsin at No. 5 beat Andreieira 6-3, 6-4.Â
