The Warriors struck first when they took advantage of a first and third situation, holding a 1-0 over the Seawolves up until the sixth inning when they hit a solo home run over the left field line.
Downing, who was responsible to the Seawolves two hits, one in the fourth (single through the left side) and one in the seventh (a double down the line). Brought in Sonoma States one run in the ninth, to score Clyma.
Dominic Garihan and
Roberto Baldenebro were both credited a run, Garihan faced 15 batters, and Baldenebr threw to 14 striking out five.
The Seawolves are now 1-4 overall and 0-2 in the CCAA, the series between the Seawolves and the Warriors continues tomorrow for a doubleheader at 11:00 am and 2:00 pm at the Seawolf Diamond.
