Extra Inning Comeback

Rohnert Park, Calif. – Seawolves came back from a Friday night loss to take two from the Warriors. Lenney with an extra inning the walk-off single.
 
GAME 1: Sonoma State 5, Stanislaus 2
The Warriors struck first, with an RBI single up the middle to take a brief 1-0 lead. Kory Brown answered back with a two-run RBI single to the far-right field corner, scoring Zach Guardino and Anthony Clyma for 2-1 edge. 
 
After a silent second inning, the Seawolves capitalized on a Warrior error to score Harwell from third.
 
The fourth inning saw the game's final runs, as Stanislaus State added one with a single to right center, cutting the score in half (4-2). The Seawolves' Bryce Vitt scored off of Joshua Medina's single up the middle, and Matt Hill crossed the plate of a groundout to short.
 
John Cashman recorded his first win of the season.
 
GAME 2: Sonoma State 4, Stanislaus 3
After five innings of play, the Warriors held a robust 3-0 deficit.
 
The Seawolves came within one point of the Warriors when Curiel scored off of a Warriors fielder's choice, and Zach Guardino brought Medina home with a grounder to short making the score 3-2. 
 
In the games scheduled final inning, John Abate crossed the plate off a wild pitch. Tying the game and forcing extra innings. 
 
Bottom of the ninth, Joshua Lenney stepped up the plate with a game-winning single through the left side to score Drew Downing.
 
Tyson Canfield recorded his first win of the season.
