Rohnert Park, Calif. – A high scoring first inning put the Sonoma State on top early 4-3.
Despite giving up three runs in the top of the first, the Seawolves loaded the bases, scoring its first run off a single through the left side by
Bryce Vitt.
Joshua Lenney singled to center, both Vitt and
Kory Brown capitalized on a Warrior error to give the Seawolves its 4-3 edge.
Stanislaus State added one run in both the second and third inning to take hold of a one-point lead over the Seawolves.
Bats went cold, till the eighth when Sonoma crossed the plate three times.
Lenney brought
Donovyn Curiel home with a single to left center, Vitt scored off of a throwing error by short for the game-winning run. Lenney added an insurance run scoring on
Matt Hills sac fly to center field.
