Chico, Calif. –Sonoma State wrapped up their regular season with a 71-59 victory against Chico State to secure its place in the CCAA tournament, the programs fifth CCAA tournament appearance.
The Seawolves (9-13) will travel to Pomona to face No. 2 seed Cal Poly Pomona (13-9) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
In Saturday night's win over Chico State, four Seawolves scored double digits against the Wildcats.

Kiech set the tone with a layup in the paint, during the Seawolves first possession. From then on Sonoma State gave up its lead once in the first quarter, regaining when
Aaryn Pickett put up a layup in the paint, holding its lead the remaining 32 minutes.
The Seawolves capitalized on second-chance points (14) and points in the paint (34), and six fast break points while holding the Wildcats to two second-chance points and 14 points in the paint.
Sonoma State outscored Chico State in the first half, holding the Wildcats to 20.6 percent from the field (25% from the arc) while shooting 39.3 percent from the field (44.4% from the arc) and 50 percent from the line.
The Seawolves took a 27-23 advantage into halftime.
Sonoma State outscored the Wildcats in the second half, holding Chico State to 29.4 percent from the field (35.3% from the arc) while shooting 56.5 percent from the field (33.3% from the arc) and 76.2 percent from the line.
The 71-59 win over Chico State secured the Seawolves place in the CCAA tournament.
