Late Offense Not Enough

San Bernardino, Calif. – A late comeback in the final three innings fell short as the Seawolves dropped its series finale game against Cal State San Bernardino 7-5.
 
The Coyotes took hold of a 2-0 lead in the first with a pair of hits.
 
After two scoreless frames, Cal State San Bernardino added to its lead with a two-run home run in the fourth 4-0.
 
Another two-run homer for the Coyotes in sixth boosted Cal State San Bernardino's lead to 6-0.
 
After five three-up-three-down innings, the Seawolves found a way onto the bases in the 7th.
With two leadoff hits, the Seawolves placed themselves in scoring position, then Patrick Tolbert grounded out to short to score Zach Guardino (1-0). A double down the left field line by Pridy scored Kory Brown and cut the Coyotes lead 6-2.
 
Cal State San Bernardino with a leadoff homer in the 8th put the Coyotes up 7-2.
 
Three hits in the ninth gave the Seawolves its final push for a comeback as they tallied three runs. Sonoma State scored off a throwing error by the third baseman, a single RBI hit by Dan Deely and a wild pitch (7-4).
