Rohnert Park, Calif. – Sonoma State split its series with Cal State San Bernardino after dropping game one 5-4 and game two 3-2. The Seawolves are now 27-14 overall and 17-11 in the CCAA.

Game One: Cal State San Bernardino 5, Sonoma State 4
Despite out hitting the Coyotes 11 to 6 and a late-inning comeback surge, the Seawolves fell 5-4.

After a three-up-three-down opening first half,
Alee Balanon led off the with a single up the middle. Next, at bat
Julie Davis stretch a triple to bring Balanon across the plate to give the Seawolves a 1-0 lead.

Another three-up-three-down top innings featuring a pair of strikeouts from
Brielle Vidmar kept the Coyotes off the base paths.Â

Cal State San Bernardino strung together three singles in the fourth to score twice and gain a 2-1 lead over the Seawolves.

The Coyotes offense broke through in the fifth with a sacrifice fly and a base-clearing two-run double for a 5-1 lead.Â

In the bottom of the fourth
Jordyn Martinez singled to center and
Jordann White drew a walk.
Lindsey Calcany Blair brought them both home with a double to left field (5-3).

With two down in the bottom of the seventh David who reached on a fielder's choice scored off a double by Martinez.Â

Game Two: Cal State San Bernardino 3, Sonoma State 2
Balanon, on fire, tripled down the left field line to lead off the first inning. Next up Davis singled to center to bring Balanon home giving the Seawolves a 1-0 lead over the Coyotes.Â

Following three shutout innings by both sides of the diamond, Cal State San Bernardino's Jamiana Gateb hit a two-run home run. Over left field.

In the bottom of the sixth with runners on first and third Davis took advantage of a failed pickoff attempt to tie the game 2-2.

Cal State San Bernardino scored off a fielder's choice in the seventh to take hold a 3-2 final score.
