Seawolves Drop Fridays Doubleheader

Seaside, Calif. – Sonoma State dropped Friday's doubleheader against Cal State Monterey Bay, 4-3 in game one an 5-0 in game two. 
 
The Seawolves are now 27-16 Overall; 17-16 in CCAA.
 
Two home runs in the third and fourth game the Seawolves a 2-0 lead over the Otters. Nicole Renner knocked a solo shot in the third right over the left field, then Cameron Kirtlan hit one out over center field.  
 
The Pioneers cut the Seawolves lead in half with an RBI triple down the right-field line.
 
Sonoma State added an insurance run in the seventh when Julie Davis singles to center field. The insurance found not to be enough as the Otters strung two RBI singles and an RBI double to win game one 4-3.
 
The Seawolves couldn't scratch a run in game two, despite outhitting the Otters 6 to 5. 
 
Two multi-run innings was enough to put the Otters on top 5-0.
