Seaside, CA - Sonoma State had moments of brilliance and kept it close for much of the game but could not keep pace with the red hot Otters falling 83-63 at the Kelp Bed.
Monterey Bay hit 15 3-pointers on the night and got a game and season high 34 points from newcomer Andrew Ferguson.
Sonoma State was led in scoring by
Isaac Davidson with 18,
Nick Klarman added 16 and
Michael Smith 13.
SSU pulled to within 5 in the second half but a 9-0 run by the Otters grabbed the momentum and the Seawolves never recovered.
Jacob Salerno was a bright spot for Sonoma State as he was given added minutes with starter
Kenny Olsem out injured. Salerno responded with 8 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Sonoma State falls to 3-14 (2-9 CCAA) on the season.
