Rohnert Park, Ca- On Saturday, the Sonoma state Seawolves looked to upset the Coyotes of San Bernardino who came into the action at 10-3 and 6-2 in CCAA play. Sonoma lead the majority of the game and but could not hold on late as the Coyotes stormed back to win 67-64. The Seawolves drop to 3-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play. 

Sonoma state lead by as many as 15 in the contest and jumped out to an 11 point lead at the half. Centers Wesley Gilbert and Jeremy Lillis were perfect from the field combining for 7-7 and a total of 15 points after the first half.

The game saw a total of 12 lead changes and was back and forth the entire second half. Sonoma got into some foul trouble late in the second half sending San Bernardino to the free throw line and allowing them to crawl back into the game.

The game would come down to the final possession for SSU as San Bernardino hit a three on the previous possession to take the lead. The Seawolves got two decent looks but failed to convert. 

4 Seawolves recorded double figures including a double-double by Kenny Olsem with 10 points and 10 boards. Isaac Davidson lead the scoring for the Seawolves with 19 points.   

Sonoma returns to action next week as they travel to San Francisco State to face the Gators. They will resume home action in the Wolves Den on January 23 against Cal State San Marcos.
