CCAA Fall Academic Honor Roll Announced with Record Breaking Numbers

Rohnert Park, Calif. - On Monday January 25th, 2021, the California Collegiate Athletics Association announced the student-athletes who earned a place on the Fall 2020 Academic Honor Roll. With the cancellation of the traditional fall athletic season, the conference turned the annual CCAA All-Academic team into the Academic Honor Roll to recognize student-athletes' success in the classroom. As the spring semester begins across the CCAA, student-athletes throughout the conference once again have set a new standard of excellence in the classroom. An impressive 478 student-athletes have been honored as members of the 2020 Fall Academic Honor Roll, shattering the previous best by 127. Honor Roll distinction is given to student-athletes who are a sophomore in academic standing with a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3. The standard requirement of competing in a conference-sponsored sport has been waived for 2020-21, as honorees must be a member of their team in good standing.

SSU student-athletes ranked 3rd amongst all CCAA member schools with 48 student-athletes named to the Fall Academic Honor Roll. Women's soccer led the way with 16 student-athletes named to the honor roll. The Seawolves women's volleyball program followed with 14 selections, men's soccer with 13, and women's cross country with 5 selections. SSU saw 19 Seawolves named to the Academic Honor Roll as a repeat honoree out of the total 48 student-athletes.

This is a testament to their commitment and to the great job their coaches have done in helping them maintain their focus on their classes." To read the full release from the CCAA click HERE
