SAN BERNARDINO, CALIF. - On Friday, March 31st, the Sonoma State baseball team would head south and resume CCAA competition in a four game series with the 5th ranked team in the nation, Cal State San Bernardino. The Yotes would flex their offensive strength and put up 16 runs off 15 hits in a 12-run victory. Highlights for SSU would include a pair of home runs from
Joey Loveless and
Niko Tejada. The Seawolves would put up 3 runs in the 8th with a 2-run shot from Tejada and an RBI double from
Christopher Wright to apply some pressure, but San Bernardino would tack on 6 more runs in the bottom half to seal the game and take the series opener, 16-4.
