SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – Sonoma State's defense and a lone goal by
Annette Sotelo proved to be a winning formula for the second straight game as the Seawolves toppled Dominican 1-0. Sotelo's early first half score provided the game's only goal as SSU moved to 2-1-1 on the season.

The second half featured more offense but zero goals. Sotelo nearly notched her second score of the contest in the 61
st minute but she shot from distance was saved on a diving stop by the Dominican goalie. The Penguins best chance came with just under nine minutes remaining when a failed clear led to an opportunity from the top of the box.
Claudia Janese was up the task, making a one-handed diving save to keep the shutout alive. The Seawolves defense did the rest, holding Dominican without a shot shot the final nine minutes to keep them scoreless.
