Seawolves Fall to Sunbirds in Neutral Site Battle 65-74

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF.- In their final matchup of the non-conference portion of the schedule the Seawolves squared off with the Sunbirds of Fresno Pacific. Hot shooting from Fresno Pacific saw them jump out to a double digit lead early in the game. Despite a great second half of basketball Sonoma State was unable to overcome the early deficit and fell to their PacWest opponents.

As has been the case for much of the early portion of the season the Seawolves perimeter players came up big in the scoring department. James Nobles posted a team high 15 points while pulling down five rebounds. Nick Medeiros continues his highly efficient play at the point of attack with another 13 points on 75% shooting from the floor. Lastly, Julian Bryant has rebounded nicely from a slow start to his season. He hit 60% of his shots from the floor including a three. He has now reached double figures in scoring for three straight outings and most impressively is hitting 50% of his shots from deep.

When talking about three point shooting it's hard to not mention Jack Schultz who hit another three deep shots against the Sunbirds. His 52% from three is currently second in the CCAA.

The boys non-conference portion of their schedule has wrapped up with a solid 4-2 record. They now turn their attention to the start of CCAA play with Cal State San Marcos heading to the Wolves Den on November 30th!
