Robin Hart begins her second season as an assistant coach for Sonoma State in 2016.
Hart came to Rohnert Park after spending three seasons (2012-14) on the coaching staff of fellow CCAA-member San Francisco State. She also spent six years (2009-15) coaching with the East Bay United Soccer Club, including two (2013-14) as the assistant coaching director for the Bay Oaks.
In addition to having an extensive coaching background, Hart enjoyed a tremendous collegiate playing career, playing two seasons for the SF State Gators back in 2007 and 2008, earning All-CCAA Second Team honors and All-CCAA First Team accolades, respectively, as well as spending two seasons at CSU Bakersfield.
As a senior and team captain at SFSU in 2008, Hart led the team in goals (9) and points (20), propelling the Gators to a 12-7-3 record and appearances in the CCAA Championship and NCAA Division II Championship Tournaments. For her NSCAA All-West Region First Team efforts that season, Hart was voted as the Gators' Most Outstanding Student-Athlete of the Year.
Not only was she a standout on the pitch, but she excelled in the classroom as well, receiving ESPN the Magazine/Academic All-District VIII College Soccer Division First Team Award honors that season. In the spring in 2009, Hart graduated from San Francisco State with a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice.
Hart, a native of San Francisco, possesses a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Premier Diploma and a United States Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License, both of which she obtained in 2014 and 2015, respectively.
