Biography
2015 (JUNIOR): Showed great power potential in her first season at Sonoma, blasting three home runs and finishing second on the team with a .603 slugging percentage...finished the season with a .358 batting average...made 17 starts and appeared in nine more games a a reserve...hit home runs in back-to-back games against San Francisco State (4/17/15)...drove in a total of ten runs, including five in one game, in that SF State series (4/17-18/15)...had at least three RBIs in three straight games, from April 18th to 24th...named CCAA All-Academic.
HIGH SCHOOL/COLLEGE: Graduated from Cleveland High School in 2011...Was selected to the Los Angeles Daily News Senior All-Star team...won the senior stand-out award...won MVP her senior year...was the team captain as a senior and won the Cavalier Spirit Award... won the All-City Scholar Athlete Award in 2011... Earned an AA degree in health science... won the Patron's Club Scholarship... won the Athletes with Character and Ethics Award... was put on the Second Team All-Conference in 2012 and 2013... won M.V.P. and Softball Player of the Year in 2013.
PERSONAL: Jena choose Sonoma State because of the community-feel, beautiful campus, and great kinsesiology program...would like to be an athletic trainer...would most like to meet Jason Aldean...counts her parents as her biggest influence...has the ability to hold three softballs in one hand.
