Aly Coughlin is in her second year as the Assistant Coach for the Sonoma State women's cross country and track & field team in 2018-19.
Coughlin comes to Sonoma State after spending the 2016-17 academic year as a graduate assistant to the Tarleton State University track & field squad.
A decorated cross country and track & field student-athlete as an undergraduate at Tarleton State, Coughlin  was a four-year USTFCCCA All-Region competitor earning Lone Star Conference championships in the 5,000 Meter and 10,000 Meter events in 2016, the 3,000 Meter and 5,000 Meter for Indoor Track & Field in 2014 and 2016, she was the Lone Star Conference Cross Country champion in 2015, and the LSC Steeplechase champion in 2014.  In addition, Coughlin was named the Lone Star Conference Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year in 2014 and 2016.
Not only was she a standout in competition, but was a four-time Academic All-American for her outstanding efforts in the classroom.
A native of Rockwall, Texas, Coughlin holds a Bachelor's Degree (2015) and a Master's Degree (2017) in Kinesiology from Tarleton State University.
