Volleyball Beats Cal State Monterey Bay In Four

SEASIDE, Calif-  Sonoma State picked up their first CCAA win of the year on Saturday night with a 3-1 (30-27, 24-30, 30-26, 30-23) over Cal State Monterey Bay in Seaside.  Junior Lindsay Webb led the Seawolves (4-2, 1-1 CCAA) with 13 kills in her best effort of the season.

Sonoma State outhit the Otters .182 to .170 for the night.  Senior Danielle Suico more than tripled her career-high with eleven kills to add punch to the Seawolf attack. 

Lillian Harms went for 27 digs and Deanna Thadgard added 15 in a fine defensive effort.  Kendall Leatherberry and Megan Moore split time at setter, combining for 50 assists total.

The Seawolves had an 8-7 advantage in blocks and led 11-6 in service aces. 

Sonoma State returns home next weekend when they face Cal State L.A. (Thursday) and Cal State Bakersfield (Saturday). Stats not yet available for this game.
