ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  The Seawolves excelled on both sides of the ball on Saturday night in cruising to a 73-46 win over Menlo College in the finale of the 2008 Ron Logsdon Classic at Seawolf Gym.  The win evens out the Seawolves' record at 1-1 on the season while the Oaks drop to 0-2.

After a sloppy performance in Friday's opener, the Seawolves looked strong against the Oaks.  They shot 48.1% in the first half on their way to a ten-point halftime lead, 34-24.

The game was fairly close for most of the first half as the Seawolves clung to a 22-21 lead with 5:26 left.  They would close the half on a 13-3 run and never look back.  The lead stayed in double digits for just about all of the second half and would escalate to the final margin of 27 on a Steven Pratt layup with ten seconds left.

Sonoma was able to spread the scoring out with ten different players scoring at least five points.  For the second night in a row, junior James Sandoval was the leading scorer, with ten points.  Chad Chambers was particularly effective on the glass, coming down with six rebounds in just five minutes of action.  He shared team-high honors with Keith Garner.  Junior Ben Washington did a nice job distributing the ball, posting seven assists to go along with his seven points and four rebounds.

Kyle Adams had a double-double for Menlo in a losing effort.  He finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds.  The Oaks shot just 26.2% for teh game and went 1-of-11 from three-point territory.

Sandoval and Washington were named to the All-Tournament Team.  They were joined by three players from San Francisco State (MVP Robert Hayes, Alex Thomas, and Brad Visman).  Brian Barkdoll of Northwest Nazarene rounded out the team.

The Seawolves will head to Belmont next weekend to take on Notre Dame de Namur and Central Washington in the NDNU Invitational.
