ARCATA, Calif-  Under one minute into the second half, Sonoma State held a 34-31 lead and things were looking good.  From that point on, however, the Seawolves were outscored 48-28 as Western Oregon pulled away with a 79-62 win on Friday night at the DeBeni Holiday Classic in Arcata.  The loss extends the Seawolves' current slide to four in a row as they drop to 3-5 on the year.  The Wolves go to 4-2.

The first half featured seven ties and several lead changes before the squads hit the break tied at 31.  After Sonoma scored the first three points of the second half, Western Oregon went on an 8-0 run and never looked back.

The Wolves shot 16-of-23 (69.7%) from the field in the second half as they pumped in 48 points.  For the game, Western Oregon was at 55.8%, compared to 50% for Sonoma.

Freshman Steven Pratt paced the Seawolves with a career-high 15 points.  Ben Washington went for 12 and Keith Garner set a career-high with five steals.
