Men's Tennis Takes 6-1 Victory Over Portland St.

Andy Muesse picked up his 11th win of the year in singles play
RENO, Nev-  The 34th-ranked Sonoma State men's tennis team defeated Portland State 6-1 on Saturday afternoon in Reno, Nevada.  It was the second win over an NCAA Division I opponent for the Seawolves this season as they improve to 9-12 overall.

Playing under Division I scoring rules (one point for doubles competition), the Seawolves earned the doubles point by taking the No. 1 and No. 2 matches.  Jeff Stollberg and Connor Olson were triumphant at No. 2 for their team-high 14th win of the season.

The singles nearly made it a clean sweep in singles, winning at the Nos. 1 through 5.  The Vikings got a marathon win at No. 6 singles, 3-6, 6-3 (15-13).

Andy Muesse beat his opponent at No. 1 singles by a 6-0, 7-5 score.
