ROHNERT PARK, Calif- For the third consecutive season, the Sonoma State men's tennis team has received an invitation to the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships. The Seawolves will take on a familiar foe, Hawaii Pacific, at 11:00 am on May 9th in Waipahu, Hawaii.
The teams have met once this season with the Seawolves nearly knocking off a then-undefeated Hawaii Pacific squad. The Sea Warriors prevailed 5-4.
The Sea Warriors are currently 18-1 and ranked No. 10 in the nation. Their lone loss was to the University of Hawaii, an NCAA Division I team.
Sonoma State will enter the tournament ranked 34th in the nation with an overall record of 9-12. The Seawolves are 6-4 against NCAA Division II foes.
