SAN BERNARDINO, Calif- For the second consecutive night, Sonoma State held a lead late in the game but on Saturday, Cal State San Bernardino scored the last six points of regulation to take the 58-52 victory over the Seawolves at Coussoulis Arena in San Bernardino. Sonoma State falls to 5-8 overall and 3-5 in California Collegiate Athletic Association play. The Coyotes even their conference record at 3-3 while moving to 7-4 overall.

Freshmen Nadia Williams and Kelsey Wagner came off the bench to lead the Seawolves with 10 points. Both Williams and Wagner combined on 9-of-19 shooting for Sonoma State who hit 18-of-58 from the floor as a team. Sophomore Olivia Larkin had a team-high nine rebounds.

Sonoma State put the pressure on Cal State San Bernardino early on, sprinting out to a 14-3 lead just seven minutes into the opening half. However, it wouldn't last long as the Coyotes allowed only three Seawolf points the rest of the half and went on a 17-3 run to go into halftime with the 20-17 lead.

Cal State San Bernardino continued its hot streak, jumping out to a lead of 10 points on several occasions before the Seawolves made a run of their own to take a two point lead at 48-46 with 3:38 remaining in regulation after an 11-0 run. Over the next 2:51, neither team would lead by more than one point. Wagner scored her tenth point on a layup with 1:55 left to give the Seawolves a 52-51 lead but it would be the last lead the Seawolves would grab.

However, the Seawolves had a good shot to keep things interesting with 24 seconds left and possession of the basketball but a steal by the Coyotes' Krystal Urzua dashed the hopes of any comeback.

Kymberly Ooten recorded a double-double, scoring a game-high 20 points and grabbing 13 rebounds to lead Cal State San Bernardino. Urzua added 10 for the Coyotes.

Sonoma State will return home on Thursday to take on Cal State Stanislaus at The Wolves' Den. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
