Anthony Rollins dispatched their opponents in doubles competition on Saturday at the SSU Tennis Courts, Sonoma State couldn't grab a singles victory against UC Santa Cruz, the top-ranked team in NCAA Division III and seven time champions, as the Seawolves fell 7-2. Sonoma State, ranked 36th in the nation in Division II, falls to 7-9 overall.
Olson and Bianco grabbed a 8-4 win over Brian Pybas and Marc Vartabedian at the No. 1 singles position before Gaynor and Rollins defeated Erich Koenig and Shaun Herry by an identical score of 8-4.
However, the Banana Slugs swept all six singles matches to take their second victory of the day -- UC Santa Cruz battled with UC San Diego earlier in the day, only to grab a 5-2 win from the Tritons in a neutral site match at the SSU Tennis Courts.
Sonoma State will wrap up its 2010 home schedule on Sunday when the Seawolves host the Tritons of UC San Diego. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.
