DAVIS, Calif- After taking the doubles point from NCAA Division I UC Davis and taking a 1-0 match lead, the Aggies bounced back with four singles victory to defeat Sonoma State, 4-3, in men's tennis action at the Marya Welch Tennis Center in Davis. The Seawolves remain winless on the season, falling to 0-8.

The duos of Taylor Bianco/Daniel Henke (9-7) and Scott Gaynor/Anthony Rollins (8-4) narrowly defeated their Division I counterparts while Drexler Dy/Bryce Keefer almost beat Kyle Miller and Chris Aria, but the Aggies prevailed, 9-8. Despite the loss at No. 2 doubles, the Seawolves earned the doubles point with the wins at No. 1 and No. 3.

In the singles competition, UC Davis earned wins at the No. 1, 3 and 4 positions to take a 3-1 match lead. Stewart Hutton battled back to earn a point for SSU with the 2-6, 6-1, 6-4 win at the No. 5 position, but Connor Coates of UCD defeated Dy (6-1, 6-7, 6-1) to clinch the match for the Aggies. Jimmy Manning earned the 6-4, 6-7, 6-4 win at the No. 6 singles spot to finish the match.

Sonoma State will now look to face Westmont College on Mar. 18 at the SSU Tennis Courts. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
