GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- The Sonoma State men's tennis team showed no signs of fatigue, despite playing its fourth match in three days in the thin air of Grand Junction, Colo. The Seawolves swept all three doubles matches and won five of the six singles matches to dispatch host Colorado Mesa, 8-1, on Easter Sunday. SSU has now won five straight, rising to 7-8 overall and 6-3 against Division II opponents.

Jimmy Manning each posted a score of 8-6 to win their doubles competition at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. At No. 1 doubles,
David Hutton and
Seth Hein outlasted Colorado Mesa's Jordan Lyden and Andres Hernandez to complete Sonoma State's sweep in doubles with a 9-7 win.
In singles play,
Drexler Dy (6-3, 6-3), Eckstedt (6-4, 6-1) and
Garret Gooch (6-4, 6-1) defeated their opponents in straight sets, clinching the victory for the Seawolves. Henke (6-2, 0-6, 12-10) and Manning (6-4, 4-6, 10-1) won their first set and lost the second, but rebounded with wins in the 10-point tiebreaker to finish the day.
Sonoma State will return home on Saturday to face 47th-ranked Hawai'i-Hilo at the SSU Tennis Courts. It will be the final home match of the 2012 season.
