Men's Tennis Comes Up Empty On Saturday In Arizona

GLENDALE, Ariz. --  It was a long afternoon for the Sonoma State men's tennis team as the Seawolves dropped a pair of matches on Saturday in neutral court action in Arizona.  The Seawolves dropped their first match of the day to Point Loma Nazarene by a 7-2 score, before dropping their nightcap, 6-3 to Montana State-Billings.  The Seawolves see their record dip to 2-5 overall and 2-2 on their trip to Arizona.  They will close out this weekend's play with a match against Western New Mexico on Sunday.

Point Loma Nazarene 7, #41 Sonoma State 2

Point Loma Nazarene swept doubles play to put themselves in very good position in Saturday's early contest.  The Seawolves played two tight matches in doubles, but a 9-7 loss at No. 2 and a 9-8(2) loss at No. 3 tilted the points the Sea Lions' favor.

Sonoma State got a point from the top of the table as Matt Roberts won 6-2, 6-4 against Brooks Baldinger.  The wins would be few and far between, however, as Vincent Paganetti was the only other Sonoma competitor to notch a "W", winning at No. 6, 6-0, 6-0.
