Roberts Grabs Straight-Set Win, But Seawolves Fall 8-1

Bethany 8, Sonoma State 1

PUEBLO, Colo. --
Matt Roberts improved to 7-6 at No. 1 singles this season with a 6-0, 6-4 win, but it would be the only point the Sonoma State men's tennis team would record, falling 8-1 to Bethany College on Friday morning as part of this weekend's CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves Tennis Classic in Pueblo, Colo.  The Seawolves have lost nine straight matches, falling to 2-12 this season.  The Swedes, who are ranked seventh in the NAIA Top 25 Poll, rise to 8-1 this season.

Sonoma State will return to the court on Saturday morning and face Colorado Mesa at 9:30 a.m. before taking on Metro State four and a half hours later at 2:00 p.m.
