ROHNERT PARK -- The Sonoma State men's tennis team lost to 17th-ranked UC San Diego on Thursday, 9-0, at the SSU Tennis Courts in its second-to-last home match of the season.  The Seawolves fell to 1-14 this season as the Tritons, ranked 17th in the nation and No. 2 in the West Region, improved to 10-6.

Sonoma played UCSD tough in doubles play before losing all three matches.  The Tritons also grabbed all six singles matches in straight sets, but not without resistance by Kevin To at No. 6, who narrowly lost the second set, 7-5, after losing the first set, 6-1.

Sonoma State will next head to Fresno on Friday for a 10:00 am matchup with NCAA Division I Fresno State.
