ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- The Sonoma State men's tennis team got out to a great start on Saturday, winning two of three doubles matches, only to see the visiting Hawaii-Hilo Vulcans come back for a 6-3 win in Pac West action.
Daniel Holz and
Kevin To led the way with a quick 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles. When
Blaine Mengert and
Logan Liddell took an 8-4 victory at the No. 1 spot, the Seawolves led 2-0.
To's 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 6 singles spot staked the Seawolves to a 3-1 lead, however, it would turn out to be the last point Sonoma would earn as the Vulcans swept the 1 through 5 positions to take the 6-3 win.
The Seawolves are back in action on April 2nd when they travel to Oakland to take on Holy Names.
