OAKLAND, Calif. -- The Sonoma State men's tennis team gave a great effort with tight matches up and down the ladder, but it would all be for naught as 32nd-ranked Holy Names emerged with a 9-0 win on Saturday afternoon at the Merritt College Tennis Courts in Oakland.
The Hawks, who completed a season sweep of the Seawolves, won the doubles points by scores of 8-3, 8-4, and 8-4.
In singles play, the entire Seawolf lineup put up a fight with
Logan Liddell (#3),
Christian Francisco (#5), and
Kevin To (#6) nearly taking sets. Â
The Seawolves (1-17) will close out the regular season on Sunday at UC Santa Cruz before taking part in the Pacific West Conference Championship in Arizona, starting on April 14th.
