SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -- With a gutsy 5-4 win over the Banana Slugs, the Sonoma State Seawolves snapped a 20-year, 17-match losing streak match Saturday afternoon against UC Santa Cruz. With the victory the Seawolves move to 2-1 on the year, while the Banana Slugs fall to 0-3.
The Seawolves, who lost two of three doubles matches and went into singles competition down 2-1, needed at least four Seawolves to win in singles play to win the match. With victories from

Igor Pissarenko and 
Alec Wong the Seawolves won the match 5-4.
The Seawolves travel to face Division I opponent UC Davis next Saturday. First serve to be served at 10am.
