ROHNERT PARK, Calif. -- On a Sunday morning the Seawolves took on the Hawks of Holy Names. The Seawolves won the match 9-0 for their first win of the season and marked
Jose Hilla's first win as head coach as the Sonoma State Men's Tennis team. With the victory, Sonoma State improves to 1-1 on the season and Holy Names falls to 0-2 on the year.
The Seawolves won all three of their doubles matches to jump off to an early 3-0 lead, only needing one singles victory to clinch victory.
Alec Wong clinched victory for the Seawolves in Singles 6 against Taylor Bryant (6-0, 6-2). All Seawolves won in two sets except for
Igor Pissarenko who needed three sets to defeat his opponent in Singles 5 (6-7 (6), 6-3, 10-5).
The Seawolves look to continue their winning ways next Saturday when they travel down to UC Santa Cruz. First serve will be served at 1PM.
