Successful Saturday at TOC

Turlock, Calif. – Second run-rule of the weekend and Sonoma State topped two Great Northwest Athletics Conference (GNAC) opponents at TOC. Mercying Simon Fraser 8-0 in five and Saint Martin's 5-1.
 
The Seawolves improve to 20-9 on the year and will return to action on Sunday with one more game – Central Washington at 9:00 a.m.

Five innings of shutout softball, by Brielle Vidmar in the circle as she continues to collect wins at TOC.
 
The Seawolves offense what unstoppable, highlighted by senior Alee Balanons 3-for-3 performance at the plate (2 RBIs), Jordann Whites 2-for-2 performance (3 RBIs), and Jordyn Martinez's' 2-for-3 performance (2 RBI's).
 
In the first Balanon scored off a bunt by White, then Martinez singled to left field to bring White home (2-0).
 
Jack led off the third with a single up the middle; she crossed the plate when Balanon hit a bomb over right center to double the Seawolves lead (4-0)
 
A sacrifice fly by White and singles by Martinez and Lindsey Calcany Blair secured Sonoma States mercy over the Clan in five 8-0.

Three double and a sacrifice fly was enough to edge the Saints 5-1, Camille Rodriguez picked up her fifth win of the season and teammate Teresa Danenberg recorded her second save of the season.
 
Balanon and Julie Davis both drew walks to lead off the game, then White double to left field to bring them both home (2-0), Martinez then traded places with White with a double of her own to right center (3-0).
 
After four scoreless innings, Martinez doubled in the sixth to score White (4-0), and Cassidy Romano flew out to center field to bring Martinez home (5-0).
 
The Saints scored on a Seawolf error for a 5-1 final.
