WXC: Seawolves Place 12th at SF State Invitational

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. – The Sonoma State women's cross country team participated in their second race of the 2021 season, placing 12th at the SF State Invitational in Golden Gate Park.  The 6k race featured several of the top teams in the West Region with Simon Fraser taking home the title.
 
Abby Ribet led the way for the Seawolves with a seasons best time of 24:40.3 to place 55th overall.  She was followed by Madison Petersen who also turned in a seasons best time of 25:33.8.
 
Sara Wenger (26:19.9), Alex Doyle (26:50.6) and Nancy Vasquez (30:12.2) rounded out the scoring for Sonoma State. 
 
The cross country team will be back in action on September 25th at CSU San Marcos for the CCAA Championship preview.
