LOS ANGELES, Calif-  Sonoma State shot just 31% from the field on Friday night in a 70-59 loss to Cal State L.A. at the Eagles Nest in Los Angeles.  The defeat drops the Seawolves to 7-9, 3-6 CCAA on the season while the Golden Eagles win for the nine time in their last 11 contests and see their record upped to 10-6, 5-4 CCAA.

Chris Mark posted 23 points and nine rebounds to lead three Golden Eagles in double figures.  Arits Grant added 13 points and Christofer Hart went for 12.

Casey McRoberts had 12 points for Sonoma to lead the way.  Duane Wright came off the bench for a career-high 10.

Sonoma State would lead just once on Friday night, 2-0 after a quick layup by Steven Pratt.  Tied at six, the Golden Eagles went on a 10-0 run to give themselves a 16-6 cushion from which the Seawolves would rally, but not completely recover.

With around 8:00 to go in the second half, the Seawolves were able to chip the deficit down to two at 46-44.  However, the Golden Eagles countered with a 12-2 surge to regain control of the game and win going away.  Sonoma wouldn't get within nine the rest of the way.

The Seawolves are back in action on Saturday evening when they play conference frontrunner Cal State Dominguez Hills, a 69-52 winner over Humboldt last night.
