ROHNERT PARK, Calif-  Sonoma State sophomore
Jaclyn Bisordi swished a three-pointer with four seconds left in overtime to lead the Seawolves to a thrilling 67-66 win over rival Chico State on Saturday evening at The Wolves' Den.  The victory was the 200th of head coach
Mark Rigby's career at Sonoma State.  With their second straight win, the Seawolves improve to 7-8, 5-5 CCAA.  The Wildcats, despite a furious comeback in regulation, fall to 8-5, 5-3 CCAA.
Trailing 66-64 with time running down, the Seawolves set up Bisordi, who despite shooting just 2-for-6 from the field to that point in the game, calmly sank a trey to set off a frenzied celebration.  The Wildcats had just over four seconds left to set up a last gasp attempt, but a heave from half court by Natasha Smith went just wide.
That the game got in to overtime was a credit to a tremendous comeback from Chico State.  Two days removed from a miracle win in which they trailed Humboldt State by 18 with 4:40 to go, the 'Cats nearly stunned another squad.
Leading by 13 (57-44) with, ironically, 4:40 to go, the Seawolves went cold, allowing the Wildcats to go on a 16-2 run over the next three minutes to take a lead at 60-59
With a minute to go,
Jennifer Russo got to the line and made one of two free throws to tie it up at 60.  Both teams had a shot to win it in regulation, though they couldn't find the bottom of the bucket.
Chico State did not trail in the overtime period, until Bisordi's three-pointer with 4.3 seconds left.
Oly Larkin led a balanced Sonoma scoring attack with 11 points.
Stephanie Barnes and
Nadia Williams posted nine and
Christy Shreve and Bisordi finished with eight.  Barnes had a game-high 11 rebounds and
Aly Conway was tops with four assists.
Natasha Smith led all players with 21 points for Chico State.  She also had seven rebounds and four assists.  Melissa Richardson had 18 points and Synchro Bull added 11 to go along with six assists.
The Seawolves shot 48.1% for the game, by far their best shooting performance of the season.  The Wildcats were held to 33.8% shooting from the field.
Head coach
Mark Rigby is the winningest coach in Sonoma State women's basketball history.  Now in his 13th season, Rigby's career tally stands at an impressive 200-147.
The Seawolves will put their modest two-game winning streak on the line next Thursday when they host conference newcomer Cal State East Bay.
